All my life I have loved making things.  I started to sew at about 12 and  really have not stopped.  I did  have a few breaks when the children were young and when my Art teaching career got in the way and I spent more time painting and drawing.  I would have enjoyed a career in fashion….and now that I am retired I can indulge.

I love collecting fabrics, patterns, books  and anything to do with sewing.  I am trying to take over the downstairs area.  This is what my area looks like.

Cheryl, I have followed your entries to the Cutting Lines thread on Artisan’s Square for a couple of years now and always found your fabric selections glorious and garments beautiful. Seeing where you live, I can see that the environment plays a huge role the color palette you use and you have access to the luscious Asian fabrics that also reflect that. I am happy to see you have started a blog and look forward to future posts.
